travelling to Carterton

So as much as I wish Stand up and Photography was my job and paid my bills, it isnt.  I have a day job too. But the cool thing is the day job takes me out and about.

Yesterday I had to go to Carterton, so grabbed my back pack and chucked it in the back of the car, so if the opportunity arrises I can grab some picks.  And arrise it did.  Some cool old barns in a wee cluster about 200m apart that I noted on the way to Carterton.  It was about 11am so the sun was in full swing and I knew it would make for good picks, so thought I would stop on the way home.  About 2ish im heading back through and the light was not much better but thought I would take the chance.  It didnt come out great, but came out ok.  Hopefully can travel back to that spot again soon!

in all of this I am starting to think I need to buy a new personal laptop.  I dont have lightroom or photoshop etc, the best I can do is Crop currently! Can be frustrating as some great pics came out slightly over exposed.  I think I also forgot to change my ISO from last time I used it...

I have also started shrinking the photos down a bit (from 7-9mb to 2mb each) when transfering from the camera to my phone.  Its a wireless transfer and takes ages (and heaps of room on my phone)
